Salesforce’s Glossary of terms doesn’t define acronyms, such as:
- ABM = Account-based Marketing
- ACV = Annual Contract Value (in CPQ)
- ARR = Annual Recurring Revenue (in CPQ)
- BOFC = Bulk Object Field Creator (http://salesforcebofc.com/ from Tech9logy)
- BPMN = Business Process Modeling Notation (industry standard used in Approval Process Visualizer graphics)
- CPQ = Configure, Price, and Quote (Steelbrick add-on)
- CMS = Content Management System (for websites)
- CRM = Customer/Constituent Relationship Management
- CRED = Create Read Edit Delete (basic operations permissions defined in user profiles)
- CTI = Computer Telephony Integration*
- CTA = Certified Technical Architect (Salesforce scertification)
- DML = Data Manipulation Language (industry term)
- ER = Executive Review (in Approval process)
- ETL = Extract Transform and Load (industry term for populating clean data in databases)
- FSL = Field Service Lightning (offering)
- FLS = Field Level Security (access defined in user profiles)
- GAU = General Accounting Units (to apply donations to nonprofits)
- GTL = Guide Template Language (in Marketing Cloud)
- GMT = Greenwich Mean Time (for time zone offsets, also called UTC)
- IoT = Internet of Things (industry term)
- LMA = License Management Application
- LMO = License Management Organization
- MCV = Monthly Contract Value (in CPQ)
- MQL = Marketing Qualified Lead
- MRR = Monthly Recurring Revenue (in CPQ)
- MMF = Minimally Marketable Features (a type of release)
- MOAR = MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (for API management)
- NPS = Net Promoter Score (metric of possible vs. negative customer recommendations)
- NPSP = Non-Profit Success Pack
- OWD = Organization-Wide Default
- OCR = Opportunity Contact Roles
- PAM = Partner Account Manager (email isvpartners@salesforce.com)
- PRM = Partner Relationship Management (offering)
- QTC = Quote to Cash (Billing workflow)
- RSFs = Rollup Summary Fields
- SaaS = Software as a Service
- SAQL = Salesforce Analytics Query Language
- SAL = Sales Qualified Lead
- SFCC = Salesforce Commerce Cloud (based on Demandware + CloudCraze acquisitions not built on force.com)
- SFDC = an acronym for “Salesforce dot com”
- SFMC = Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- SOQL = Salesforce Object Query Language *
- SOSL = Salesforce Object Search Language *
- SKU = Stock Keeping Unit (industry term)
- TCV = Total Contract Value (in CPQ)
- TDTM = Table-Driven Trigger Management
- TMO = Trialforce Management Organization (for partners to provide free trials to potential customers)
- TSO = Trialforce Source Organization (a partner authorized to provide free trials to potential customers)
- TP = Trailhead Playground
