Salesforce’s Glossary of terms doesn’t define acronyms, such as:

  • ABM = Account-based Marketing
  • ACV = Annual Contract Value (in CPQ)
  • ARR = Annual Recurring Revenue (in CPQ)
  • BOFC = Bulk Object Field Creator (http://salesforcebofc.com/ from Tech9logy)
  • BPMN = Business Process Modeling Notation (industry standard used in Approval Process Visualizer graphics)
  • CPQ = Configure, Price, and Quote (Steelbrick add-on)
  • CMS = Content Management System (for websites)
  • CRM = Customer/Constituent Relationship Management
  • CRED = Create Read Edit Delete (basic operations permissions defined in user profiles)
  • CTI = Computer Telephony Integration*
  • CTA = Certified Technical Architect (Salesforce scertification)
  • DML = Data Manipulation Language (industry term)
  • ER = Executive Review (in Approval process)
  • ETL = Extract Transform and Load (industry term for populating clean data in databases)
  • FSL = Field Service Lightning (offering)
  • FLS = Field Level Security (access defined in user profiles)
  • GAU = General Accounting Units (to apply donations to nonprofits)
  • GTL = Guide Template Language (in Marketing Cloud)
  • GMT = Greenwich Mean Time (for time zone offsets, also called UTC)
